The town hall was built in in 1894. The town hall has had many people live and work within its brick edifice.

There have been reports that some of those people have returned from beyond the dead.

Workers at the town hall have reported hearing footsteps and voices when they are alone in the town hall. There have also been reports of furniture moving on its own and also of doors opening and closing.
