The ghost that haunts Blackburn Hall is reported to be a female student who loved the university. During a summer break she went missing only to be found murdered.
In death she returned to the one place she was happiest during life - Blackburn Hall on Millikin's campus.
Like many ghosts, the ghost in Blackburn Hall harbors a jealousy towards the living. While she has not acted out in a violent way, unlike the ghosts of Aston Hall on the same campus, she is known as a trouble maker. She will turn lights out on students that are studying for exams and is known to turn off stereos if they are played too loud for her. There are also reports of disembodied footsteps and doors opening and closing. She rarely makes an appearance, but some students have seen her gliding down hallways and staircases to only disappear into the wall.
The ghost in Blackburn Hall seems to dislike change. The maintenance staff has reported many disturbances while trying to modernize the building. Power tools would suddenly stop working, buckets of paint would be spilled over, and other things that would stall change. Projects that were scheduled for a weeks time have gone on for months because of her meddling.
The maintenance staff has been known to plead with the girl when leaving for the day to not ruin their work. Usually it's to no avail.
